Fighting Impact of Climate Change in São Tomé and Príncipe

In São Tomé and Príncipe, West Africa Coastal Areas Resilience Investment Project aims to strengthen the resilience of coastal communities and targeted areas in Western Africa, and scale-up knowledge, finance, and dialogue. João Fernandes works as a volunteer of this organization to help build dikes, drainage systems, and breakwaters to help channel the water into the sea and works with the communities on voluntary relocation to safer areas.
