Rien Voets is a symbol of the many people who voluntarily work to reduce waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling, and reuse every day.

After retiring as a Teacher, Rien joined a local municipality in the Netherlands to work as a volunteer litter picker. He goes out every day on his bike, which has a trailer hooked up to it, to collect litter all around his township.
