Distributing Food in Grenada

In Grenada, the Acts of Kindness Initiative helps to reduce hunger throughout the country by distributing food hampers, in addition to increasing a sense of social inclusion given the COVID-19 pandemic.

Valetta James is a woman with a disability who volunteers with the Acts of Kindness Initiative and helps promote the aims of this organization by identifying those who are in need in her community and coordinating a redistribution of hampers to these individuals.

Her volunteering inspired a donation of hampers to the Grenada National Council for the Disabled (GNCD). Anaiyah Williams-La Barrie is their youngest volunteer (7-years-old) who donated her candy and helped to package it in order to provide this candy to other children during the pandemic.
