Advocating for Reproductive Health in El Salvador

In El Salvador, the Asociación Demográfica Salvadoreña (Pro-Familia) focuses on sexual and reproductive health and the active participation of men in rural areas in these discussions. When the organization came to recruit volunteers, José was immediately interested in the work of this organization. José volunteers as a health promoter to advocate – with other men – the use of contraception and couple’s counselling and provides sexual health supplies like condoms and medicines. José has seen the positive change among men in his community, and those small achievements encourage him to keep going.
