Raising Awareness about those Vulnerable during COVID-19

In Kazakhstan, the Ya Almaatinets grassroots movement is dedicated to helping people in dire situations, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. During the pandemic, they helped to raise awareness regarding the fact that certain members of society could not leave home as they were immunocompromised; thus, they were urging the public to help those around them. Konstantin Avershin and Aisulu Tustykbayeva are two volunteers with the Ya Almaatinets grassroots movement who helped support frontline workers and healthcare facilities during the pandemic by raising funds for them, which they used to provide them with meals.
